Zia Priven Busts Up Donald Trump on "The Apprentice"

Minerva_bust_head_on_2

The strength of a woman brings a throwback version of modern to Donald Trump's living room on NBC's hit show "The Apprentice" this season.

Inspired by Minerva, the Roman goddess of crafts and wisdom, the Minerva Bust Lamp from NYC-based Zia Priven design graces the living room set with a unique Hollywood Regency look.

"We thought juxtaposing a classic Roman goddess of crafts and wisdom with 21st-century Hollywood would be a unique contrast for the wildly popular 'Apprentice'," said Marcia Zia-Priven, partner, Zia-Priven Design.

Minerva was considered to be the virgin goddess of warriors, poetry, medicine, wisdom, commerce, crafts and the inventor of music. Which all adds up to a tough act to follow, even for the ultra competitive "Apprentice" crowd. We're just hoping it will distract us from looking at that strange architectural creation The Donald calls hair.

Comment on This Article Here! Zia Priven Busts Up Donald Trump on "The Apprentice":

Thank you so much for posting our Minerva lamp! We just love her and was happy to be part of "The Apprentice" for another show.We just finished The Architectural Digest Home Show with a whole new line of Regency and beyond style lighting including our "Troy" chandelier, made almost entirely of Ping Png balls! Sounds craazy but with it's French Empire style, it's eclectic and elegant. We donated a 10 ft version with over 3000 balls to the show to benefit HIV/AIDS research for DirectEffect at the Rockefeller University which is still on auction and can be seen at charitybuzz.com.
