Modern Hot Spots

Two stainless steel oil lamps fused to a slate base make up the Tabletop fireplace by Gido Wahrmann for Carl Mertens. It's a wholly balanced centerpiece with cold stainless steel, organic slate rock and, when lit, flames. We think it would look good anywhere, at any time, indoors or out. And the price isn't bad either.

Each lamp is 7.5" long and the base is 10" x 14"; $350 through Carl Mertens.
