A Modern Coffee Table/ Home Control Unit

Remember Rosie, the lovable robot from the Jetsons?  She has a real life counterpart these days in ROSIE, the coffee table from Savant Solutions, LLC.

This coffee table's looks wont turn heads (it's a pretty standard design available in different styles and finishes) but its capabilities definitely will. A touch of the computer screen tabletop lets homeowners play iTunes or television shows, download digital images and control any home automation devices connected to the system.

Victor Saverino, director of product management at Savant said, "The ROSIE Coffee Table brings the converged functionality of a touch panel to an interactive surface technology that is practical on the one hand, entertaining and exciting to use on the other. The ROSIE Coffee Table is truly the evolution of interactive technology—it can seamlessly download photos from digital cameras, play music, movies, and TV shows as well as accomplish complete home control all from within one elegant forty-inch interface."

This is the first Apple based product of its kind - not quite like having a 40 inch iPhone, but the closest you can get.
