Modern Lucite Furniture
Years of sitting in front of a window turned early lucite furniture pieces from clear expressions of modernism to cigarette-smoke yellow vesitiges of a short-lived trend.
But designer Kendall Wilkinson has stepped up to the plate (as has Kartell and, lately, many others) to reinvent lucite as the modern material it was meant to be. Today's lucite will not yellow, and it's no longer glued together. Plus, minds like Wilkinson's see the fresh paths this not-so-new material can take.
