Water Clock

Harnessing power from things once thought to be powerless (the energy created from vehicles on a bridge, friction in cloth, the velocity of a raindrop) has introduced the design world to more innovative ways of thinking.

Bedol, a company given to fun interpretations of mundane household items, brought the trend to bear in a a simple alarm clock.  Looking modern enough in a neon bright spherical case, the digital clock face belies an interesting truth - this clock is run not by battery or even electrical cord.

It runs on water, with a dash of salt.
