Adler Offers Relief

Newrelief09_07 Relief at Jonathan Adler.

This collection of vases started off at Adler's SoHo studio, where he hand threw the prototypes and taped off sections to create his designs. The clay left exposed was wiped away with a little sponge and voila, a relief was formed. Our guess is that the prototypes were then whisked away to a far less craftsman-like factory where hundreds and hundreds were massed produced. Nevertheless, they are tactile and organic and available in a selection of muted shades.  Prices start at $28 through Jonathan Adler.
