Green Kitchen Cabinets from Bazzeo
by Cornelia StumpfThe shift to green design has forced American companies to rethink their way of production and design and resulted in more attractive and energy friendly products on the market than ever before. Green products have taken the interior design industry, and especially kitchen design, by a storm.
One of the top trends in today’s eco-friendly kitchens are American-made cabinets featuring paper stone, recycled glass and recycled wood combined with the sleek looks of European-style cabinets. US-made Bazzèo kitchens fit the bill.
They’re made from 100% recycled and recovered wood fiber particleboard, a certified Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP), with a water-based, no-added urea-formaldehyde resin. The doors and drawer fronts as well as all paneling are created using a core material made from compressed wheatgrass. Like the box material, the wheatgrass doors are held together using a non-toxic water-based resin. The doors are then covered with reconstituted wood veneer in Oak, Rosewood, Teak, Walnut, Wenge or Zebra, and finished to the clients specs. using a water-based, non-toxic stain or sealer.

Modern wall coverings
Frost is Chilewich's latest, just unveiled at ICFF. It's shown here as a floor covering but it's also meant for walls. A great solution for stairwells, where paint and wallpaper are oft touched and dirtied. This is about as easy to clean as it gets.
