WellWell, a New Modern Outdor Shower

Introducing WellWell by TradeWinds, a modern outdoor shower inspired by wells, WellWell features water that shoots upward from ground level.

WellWell is made out of robinia wood and aluminium, a minimalist design piece with a small footprint.

A tap that can be operated with bare feet regulates the height of the water jets and the shower easily connects to the garden hose using a supplied connector. It requires minimum water pressure (2kg) for use.

It's good looking and easy to use, but minus the foot operated water jets, much like the average sprinkler, don't you think?

Gather 'Round the Fire Pit

Fire_pit_modern Intimate conversations.
Family get-togethers.
Marshmallow roasts.

One of the big hits at a recent get-together was my new, state-of-the-art fire pit. People who were wandering aimlessly indoors became connected to this cozy communion outdoors. Conversation was flowing and friends were reconnecting.

People’s love of fireplaces has translated to the outdoors, as warmth becomes the biggest draw at celebrations that extend into the evening. If you love to entertain year-round, then you are a candidate for a fire pit.

Along with grills and low maintenance landscaping, fire pits truly define the outdoor lifestyle and are one of the best investments you can make to your home. Stylish and functional, they can add a modern flair to your outdoor space.

Table_fire_pit Keep in mind that all fire pits are not the same. Today’s designs are more innovative and come in different shapes and configurations. High quality fire pits feature elegant and durable tabletops constructed of marble, granite, porcelain, Travertine stone and copper. A burner unit preferably in stainless steel is also an essential -- and will last indefinitely.

Before buying any fire pit consider the options of each style and choose the one that most fits the needs of your outdoor living space. Besides adding warmth some fire pits can also be used for cooking food and even double as a beverage tub. Many pit table tops now have center plugs that cover the burner when it is not in use so it can be used as a table only -- ideal for a small space! Others are portable so you can take to the beach.Dining_table_fire_pit

You can create ambiance with your fire pit as a focal point and add seating around it. Whether you have a sofa and love seat or simple chairs and ottomans, bringing it all together will attract your guests and extend the revelry -- even when there is a nip in the air. em>-- Mike Voyles of Home Infatuation.

Outdoor Wood Deck Tiles

Wood_Deck_Tiles If you want to completely change the look of your worn outdoor patio surfaces or just want a new space to kick back in the sun, stylish furniture-grade wood deck tiles could be the answer. Outdoor deck tiles revitalize cracked surfaces and add a warm and welcoming look to a balcony, patio, sunroom or an existing wood deck.

What I love about these tiles is that anyone can install them. They have an interlocking grid connected to the back so that they easily snap together without having to use nails, screws or adhesives. They also create a luxurious contemporary look comparable to a high end piece of furniture. I’ve had customers tell me that they easily installed their floor themselves in one day which saved them loads of time and money. One customer loved the fact that her new floor had striations and was comfy to walk on just like her living room hardwood.

Keep in mind that all deck tile systems are not created equal! Commercial Grade tiles feature premium grade woods and UV stabilized polypropylene backing that creates a tight lock between each tile and will last for many years. Lower grade tiles use cheaper woods and plastic frames that will warp and crack from UV exposure. Available in Ipe, Garapa, Curupay, Rosewood and Teak, they naturally resist rot, insects and decay and look great with a simple oil application once a year.

If you are interested in a “green” alternative then know that these earth friendly woods are reclaimed and re-usable and come from certified forests. The backing is made of petroleum free composites. -- Mike Voyles of Home Infatuation.
